There was a question about how to utilize Young Living’s LEMON essential oils for weight loss . . .
Lemon is quite detoxifying, so it supports the body in eliminating “stuff” that has collected. Since toxins are stored in the fat cells, it can reduce the size. Therefore, my preferred way of using it is internally, and I love to put it in my water or to take it in capsules.
Please note that it is important to begin slowly for the first few days to allow the body to begin the detoxification process. Otherwise, the toxins may attempt to exit very quickly through the largest organ of detoxification – the skin. That is why some people may develop a rash. If this should occur, decrease the number of drops of lemon for a few days, and DRINK MORE WATER. This will allow the colon to be cleansed more gently, and the toxins will have another “exit route”.
LEMON and GRAPEFRUIT also seem to be able to support the body in becoming more alkaline so it is a “less friendly environment” for bacteria, viruses, and candida as well as decreasing inflammation.
ALL of the citrus oils contain large amounts of glutathione and d’limonene. Glutathione has been studied for its positive effects on just about every illness and disease known, including cancer. D’limonene has been shown in some studies to actually “digest” cancer cells.
My personal choice is to use LEMON, GRAPEFRUIT, CITRUS FRESH, and SLIQUE ESSENCE orally in water or capsules. I like to topically apply ORANGE, TANGERINE, or MANDARIN over the organs.
ALL CITRUS OILS MAY CAUSE PHOTOSENSITIVITY WHEN APPLIED TOPICALLY. This does not occur when taken internally. Therefore, if I am going to apply them topically, I do so in placed that are not exposed to sun.
NOTE: Gary Young LOVES to put SLIQUE ESSENCE in his water. After seeing him do this, I tried it in hot water and found it makes a delicious “tea” that ALSO CURBS SUGAR CRAVINGS!
NOTE: Whenever I feel that I am “coming down with something”, I take additional lemon or other citrus oils – even as often as 10 drops an hour for a few hours to support my body in eliminating the toxins that may be causing illness.

Detox Made Easy with Young Living Lemon Essential Oil
MANY FRIENDS have been asking me about Detoxing.. from How to Detox, Duration to see the Great Results .....
Personally I feel that everyone has lots to Detox as we consume products that are toxic (be it consciously or subconsciously!).
1. Boosts your Immune System
Lemons are high in Vitamin C and potassium. Vitamin C is great for
fighting colds and potassium stimulates brain & nerve function and
helps control blood pressure.
2. Balances pH
Lemons are an incredibly alkaline food, believe it or not. Yes, they
are acidic on their own, but inside our bodies they’re alkaline (the
citric acid does not create acidity in the body once metabolized). As
you wellness warriors know, an alkaline body is really the key to
good health.
3. Helps with Weight Loss
Lemons are high in pectin fiber, which helps fight hunger cravings. It
also has been shown that people who maintain a more alkaline diet
lose weight faster.
4. Aids digestion
The water serves to stimulate the gastrointestinal tract and peristalsis—the waves of
muscle contractions within the intestinal walls that keep things moving. Lemons and
limes are also high in minerals and vitamins and help loosen ama, or toxins, in the
digestive tract.
5. Acts as a gentle, natural diuretic
Lemon juice helps flush out unwanted materials because lemons increase the rate of
urination in the body. Toxins are, therefore, released at a faster rate which helps keep
your urinary tract healthy.
6. Clears skin
The vitamin C helps decrease wrinkles and blemishes. Lemon water purges toxins from
the blood which helps keep skin clear as well.
7. Hydrates the lymph system
This cup of goodness helps start the day on a hydrated note, which helps prevent
dehydration (obviously) and adrenal fatigue. When your body is dehydrated, or deeply
dehydrated (adrenal fatigue) it can’t perform all of it’s proper functions, which leads to
toxic buildup, stress, constipation, and the list goes on. Your adrenals happen to be two
small glands that sit on top of your kidneys, and along with your thyroid, create energy.
They also secrete important hormones, including aldosterone. Aldosterone is a
hormone secreted by your adrenals that regulates water levels and the concentration of
minerals, like sodium, in your body, helping you stay hydrated. Your adrenals are also
responsible for regulating your stress response. So, the bottom line is that you really
don’t want to mess with a deep state of dehydration!

I personally drink lots of water, adding Young Living Essential Oil (SGD $18 Member Price)
